We bring back analogue! But what does that even mean? Let us (re-)introduce you to the analogue creative world and why we think it's an essential method to develop unique visual branding.

What it's like to work hybrid
Loving analogue techniques when it comes to branding solutions doesn't mean everything is automatically analogue. As you're reading this ONLINE, not only our website but the vast majority of projects need some digital assistance. This varies from project to project and is based on the individual project needs. For some projects it makes sense to hand draw every icon for some it's better to stick to vector-based icons. Some project would benefit from being captured on Portra 400 and for the next one it may is a soft analogue looking touch up with presets in post production.
Analogue wherever and whenever it makes sense
We don't force anything onto anyone. We simply listen until we understand to which extend and what part would profit from analogue technique. We are also open for suggestions on your behalf. Creating is never a one way street and we love to hear your take as well.
Our society's standards
We live in a modern, digital society. Everything needs to happen yesterday at best. We changed our pace and see more and more changes. Some are actually good! Even we, two analogue enthusiasts, see and work with advantages in the creative sector as well. Scanning negatives, seeing instant results when working with flash, digitalizing illustrations and photos and being able to share them with a huge crowd within seconds. Without digital steps working analogue would be hardly manageable today.
Changing our view brought us here
But now to the important part: Designs and photographs (often, not always of course) lose their core character with the usage of AI and mainly digital workflows. 90 % of our study at Die Graphische had been digital. Through that time we formed our theory that the character gets lost in the process of trying to bring ideas directly to the screen. Due to the extreme fast pace in the creative industry people stopped paying attention to the whole picture of their project and to work towards details and not to start with them. It's not that we judge other creatives for doing that. We also been at this point in both our careers. We only changed after we acknowledged the problem and actively changed our approach. We took some steps back and concentrated on improving our technique in order to bring out the best in each and every personal and professional project we start. Understanding the rules makes you able to break them for your advantage. That is what we've done in the past three years of working together. But behold! Starting our own company doesn't mean we stop improving our technique or claim to now know everything.
It's a process and we enjoy every moment that comes with it!
